Damariscotta Hardware hosted its 4^th Ladies Night, Thursday, April 5th and the over 100 attendees were treated to a fun filled, educational, and festive night. The Ladies started the evening feasting on salads, sandwiches and desserts provided by Stone Coast Catering.  Topics this year were: Basic Gardening, Lamp Repair, Paint Techniques, Hands on Power Tools, Grilling, and Wood Stoves. One of the highlights was the “hands on” demonstration of a battery powered chainsaw, chaps included!  A variety of door prizes were handed out to 10 lucky ladies. As the evening ended the Ladies were given a “goodie bag” filled with complimentary items and coupons provided from Damariscotta Hardware vendors and 12 local merchants from the Damariscotta/Newcastle area. Planning for next year has already begun. New ideas for next year might include a “Wine Tasting Booth” and a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds going to a local charity.
